Telecommunications Set-Up

  • MPLS Leased Line Connectivity
    • Service provider - (Tata Communications Limited and Tulip Telecom Limited)
    • Mode of Connectivity (Wired /Wireless)
  • IP VSAT Connectivity from NSE
  • Equipments Required
    • Router as per NSDL prescribed models.
    • V.35 Serial cable for wired connectivity and Ethernet LAN cable for Wireless connectivity
  • Procedure for MPLS Leased Line connectivity
    Procedure required to be followed by Participants for getting MPLS Leased line connectivity to NSDL is mentioned below.
  • Participants are required to forward the following to NSDL
    • Request letter/mail for availing MPLS leased line connectivity giving the following details where the leased line will be terminated
      • Address
      • Router details
      • Telephone num
  • On receipt of confirmation letter/mail from Participants mentioning address, contact details, router details and contact person, NSDL shall initiate feasibility request with its MPLS Service provider (TATA and TULIP).
  • On receipt of feasibility report from Service Providers, NSDL shall award the MPLS work order (PO) to Service Provider. NSDL endeavours to award PO to the Service Provider of Participants choice provided the Service Provider is also agreeing to give the connection in the shortest possible time.
  • Service Provider would start the MPLS leased line implementation by delivering Modem/RF device at Participants premises. Participants need to take requisite permission from concerned authorities for RF installation.
  • NSDL shall provide the router configuration to Participants & connectivity testing is done in coordination with Service Provider and Participants.
  • On successful testing of MPLS link an e-mail is sent by NSDL to Service Provider confirming the link acceptance.

Participants already having NSE VSAT for their trading operations are allowed to use the same VSAT for NSDL DP operations.

The necessary networking equipment for VSAT connectivity through NSE's private network will be provided by NSE to each Participant. However, NSE members who are already connected via VSAT can share the same for their depository operations also.
